Turnpike Troubadours Are ‘Feelin’ Good Again’ With Sierra Hull On Robert Earl Keen Classic

Turnpike Troubadours unveiled “Feelin’ Good Again,” a Robert Earl Keen cover they recorded with mandolinist/singer Sierra Hull. The studio track arrived accompanied by a video starring Keen and NFL star Christian McCaffrey.

Robert Earl Keen wrote “Feelin’ Good Again” about returning to his hometown of Bandera, Texas for his 1998 album Walking Distance. The fan-favorite has been a staple of Keen’s live shows for nearly 30 years.

“Robert Earl Keen has always been a kind of creative North Star for me since I can remember,” Turnpike Troubadours lead singer Evan Felker explained. “He is as much Tom Waits as he is Marty Robbins as he is John Steinbeck. I don’t know where I would be without his music. He is my hero and this is my favorite song.”

The single follows Turnpike Troubadours’ excellent 2025 album The Price Of Admission and Todd Snider tribute released later in the year. Cameron Gott helmed the “Feelin’ Good Again” video, which centers on self-rediscovery and the hardships, resilience and glimmers of hope that define the journey.

Turnpike Troubabours recently expanded their Wild America Tour 2026 into October. The Oklahoma-based Red Dirt quintet take the stage tonight (Friday, June 26) at KettleHouse Amphitheater in Bonner, Montana.
