Yola Performs For WFUV

Singer-songwriter Yola participated in a recent installment of WFUV’s Live For WFUV series. Yola performed two songs from her forthcoming sophomore full-length studio album, Stand For Myself, and chatted with host Kara Manning from the New York City-based independent radio station.

Stand For Myself arrives via Easy Eye Sound on July 30. Dan Auerbach produced the 12-track album, the same role he held for Yola’s Walk Through Fire in 2019.

Yola recorded her portion of the session to Nashville’s Easy Eye Sound Studio. The British musician performed Stand For Myself’s lead single, “Diamond Studded Shoes” as well as the album’s title track. WFUV posted audio of the full session as well as video featuring Yola’s performances of “Diamond Studded Shoes” and “Stand For Myself.”
