Watch Will Forte Cover Blondie At D’Arcy Carden, Katie & Allison Crutchfield’s Birthday Party At Largo

Musicians Katie Crutchfield (Waxahatchee) and her twin sister Allison Crutchfield (Swearin’) share a birthday (January 4) with actor D’Arcy Carden and the trio celebrated their shared birthday with a special concert at Largo in Los Angeles. The guest-filled, all-covers show featured actor Will Forte leading a performance of Blondie's “Rapture.”

Billed as a “Sweet Sixteen” party, the setlist consisted of songs from their youths performed by a backing band composed of drummer Spencer Tweedy, bassist Eliana Athayde, keyboardist Cole Berggren and guitarist Liam Kazar.

Along with Forte, the all-star lineup joining the three birthday celebrants included Jeff Tweedy of Wilco, Kevin Morby, Courtney Barnett and Oliver Hill as well as actors/musicians Aidy Bryant, Caleb Hearon and Whitmer Thomas. Covers included Tweedy tapped for David Bowie’s “Heroes,” Morby joining for Sublime’s “What I Got,” Barnett coming on for Green Day’s “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life)” and Bryant brought out for Brooks & Dunn’s “Boot Scootin’ Boogie.”
