Georgia rockers Widespread Panic continue to roll out professionally-shot video from their recent three-night stand at Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado. The latest clip finds the band working a Grateful Dead cover within an original on the Saturday night of the run at the iconic venue.

On June 27 Widespread Panic ended the evening’s second set with the song sandwich of “Holden Oversoul” > “Cream Puff War” > “Holden Oversoul.” The Grateful Dead recorded “Cream Puff War” for their self-titled debut album and performed it at least 10 times in 1966 and 1967. Widespread Panic started covering “Cream Puff War” way back in 1986 and it was in regular rotation until 1989. The band brought back “Cream Puff War” on Halloween in 1995 and haven’t gone more than 100 shows without covering the song since.

Widespread Panic returns to the stage at the North Coast Music Festival in Chicago on September 4.
