Whitney Covers ‘Take Me Home, Country Roads’ For ‘Colbert’

Whitney contributed a cover of John Denver’s “Take Me Home, Country Roads” to The Late Show With Stephen Colbert’s #PlayAtHome video series. The performance was shared by Colbert today on the anniversary of John Denver’s 1997 death.

This summer, Whitney released Candid, an album of covers that included their rendition of “Take Me Home, Country Roads.” The Chicago-based band led by vocalist/drummer Julien Ehrlich and guitarist Max Kakacek was joined by Waxahatchee (Katie Crutchfield) for the version of the John Denver classic on Candid.
