Watch The White Stripes Perform ‘Fell In Love With A Girl’ On ‘Top Of The Pops’ In 2002

Jack White & Meg White played the ‘White Blood Cells’ single for the British television series on February 21, 2002.

The White Stripes unveiled newly remastered video featuring their “Fell In Love With A Girl” performance from famed British music television show Top Of The Pops. The February 2002 performance premiered today on YouTube as part of a continuing celebration of The White Stripes 2001 studio album, White Blood Cells.

White Blood Cells was Jack White and Meg White’s third album following their self-titled debut in 1999 and 2000’s De Stijl. The album helped rocket The White Stripes to international stardom. An expanded digital edition of White Blood Cells is now available and includes a live performance of the LP captured at Detroit’s Gold Dollar on June 7, 2001. White Blood Cells (Deluxe) arrives on vinyl October 22.

“Fell In Love With A Girl” was penned by Jack White and released as a single in 2002. The song hit #21 on both the UK Singles Chart and Billboard’s Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles chart. On February 21, 2002, The White Stripes headed to London to perform “Fell In Love With A Girl” for Top Of The Pops before embarking on a European tour.
