Ween canceled their concerts scheduled on the West Coast this week. The band will no longer perform in Seattle, Portland or Eugene.
Ween’s show in Seattle was scheduled for tonight, Tuesday, August 6 at the Paramount. Two shows at Portland’s Pioneer Courthouse Square were slated for Thursday, August 8 and Friday, August 9. Ween also canceled their concert on Saturday, August 10 at the Cuthbert Amphitheater in Eugene.
In March, Ween canceled a run of 40th-anniversary tour dates slated for April. At that time, Ween guitarist Mickey “Dean Ween” Melchiondo addressed the decision to cancel the April shows in an attempt to “preserve (his) mental and spiritual well being.”

Ween – Deaner and Ween co-founder Aaron “Gene Ween” Freeman, along with bassist Dave Dreiwitz, drummer Claude Coleman Jr. and keyboardist Glenn McClelland returned to the live stage last weekend. The group performed two shows at the KettleHouse Amphitheater in Missoula, Montana, and another at the Spokane Pavilion in Spokane, Washington.
Few details were shared regarding the cancellation of the Seattle, Portland and Eugene shows. The message shared by the band indicated tickets will be refunded through the purchasing outlet.
“We love performing for the best fans in the world, and we are beyond disappointed we won’t be able to do these shows,” Ween’s note stated. Read the full message below.
Ween’s next public performance is scheduled for September 27 at The Mann in Philadelphia in the band’s home state of Pennsylvania. The concert will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their album Chocolate & Cheese, which was released on September 27, 1994.
