Waxahatchee Wades Into The ‘Mud’ With Spirited ‘Tigers Blood’ Outtake
MJ Lenderman appears on the new track from singer-songwriter Katie Crutchfield.

Waxahatchee (singer-songwriter Katie Crutchfield) shared a new single, “Mud,” which was recorded during sessions for her 2024 album, Tigers Blood. The track, issued by ANTI- Records, was produced by Brad Cook and features frequent Crutchfield collaborator MJ Lenderman.
Crutchfield played acoustic guitar and sang lead on the recording of “Mud,” which also sees Lenderman playing electric guitar and singing back up vocals. Cook played bass, while his brother Phil Cook played banjo and piano. Spencer Tweedy played drums and added additional backing vocals.

Waxahatchee was recently announced as part of this summer’s Outlaw Music Festival with Wille Nelson, Bob Dylan, Billy Strings and many others. Tickets for the tour go on sale on Friday, February 7.
