Waxahatchee Recruits Lucinda Williams, Futurebirds & More For New Event At Luck Ranch

Waxahatchee (Katie Crutchfield) curated a new event that will be held on March 14, 2025, at Willie Nelson’s Luck Ranch in Spicewood, Texas. Waxahatchee also shared a new EP, Apple Music Nashville Sessions, exclusively on Apple Music.

Coinciding with SXSW, the event at Luck Ranch will feature performances by Waxahatchee, Lucinda Williams, Futurebirds, Bill Callahan, Kam Franklin and Brennan Wedl. Additional special guests are also expected to participate. Tickets go on sale on Friday, December 6.

The three-song Apple Music Nashville Sessions EP consists of stripped-down takes on two tracks off Waxahatchee’s 2024 album, Tigers Blood. Also recorded was a cover of Lucinda Williams’ “Abandoned.”

Crutchfield made the EP with Tigers Blood multi-instrumentalist producer Brad Cook. Frequent collaborator, guitarist MJ Lenderman, was also part of the Music City session, which featured the Tigers Blood single “Right Back To It” that Lenderman appeared on.
