As reported, the Trey Anastasio Band headlined the final day of the Summer Camp Music Festival in Chillicothe, Illinois. TAB debuted a cover of “Midnight Rider” by The Allman Brothers Band and audience-shot video of the performance has surfaced.

Guitarist Trey Anastasio previewed the ABB favorite during a second set performance of “Liquid Time.” The Phish frontman then led the ensemble into a brief cover of the hit co-written by Gregg Allman, who passed away at age 69 on Saturday. Allman wrote “Midnight Rider” with Robert Kim Payne for The Allman Brothers’ 1970 sophomore LP Idlewild South. The pair notoriously broke into Capricorn Records in Macon, Georgia to record a demo of the since frequently covered classic.
