Gov’t Mule frontman Warren Haynes will host this year’s Christmas Jam at ExploreAsheville.com Arena in his hometown of Asheville, North Carolina on Saturday, December 9. Proceeds from the annual charity concert will benefit the Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity along with BeLoved Asheville.
Warren Haynes Presents Christmas Jam returned for its 31st outing in 2022 after a four-year hiatus. Last year’s lineup consisted of Phil Lesh & Friends, Tyler Childers, Gov’t Mule, Brothers Osborne and Dinosaur Jr. along with many special guests including Hiss Golden Messenger’s M.C. Taylor, Scott Metzger and Katie Jacoby.

Haynes founded the event in 1988, when the concert was held at the intimate 45 Cherry club as a way to gather musicians in Asheville for the holidays and to raise funds for local non-profits. Christmas Jam grew from a small show to a large concert held in the city’s largest venues. In 1998, Warren Haynes and his wife, Stefani Scamardo, began donating proceeds from Christmas Jam to the Habitat For Humanity organization in Asheville.
“To date, 40+ houses have been built with proceeds from the Jam and more than 2.7 million dollars has been raised, including a record-breaking half-million dollars marking one of the largest-ever contributions to the organization,” as per XmasJam.com. Stay tuned for the 2023 Christmas Jam lineup, ticketing information and other details.
