Van Ghost: SF Shows In June, Live JamBase Webcast
By Team JamBase May 12, 2011 • 1:20 pm PDT

Fast blossoming Chicago pop-rockers Van Ghost will make a rare SF Bay Area appearance on Friday, June 17th, and Saturday, June 18th, at The Connecticut Yankee (1000 Connecticut St, San Francisco, CA). Grounded in the earthy, instantly likeable songwriting and warm voice of Michael Harrison Berg, Van Ghost is the sound of classic radio burnished with modern touches and the ineffable harmonies of Berg and Jennifer Hartswick (Trey Anastasio Band). In San Francisco, Van Ghost will be joined by local faves Big Light and a host of guests, including members of ALO.
Each night for this “weekend in San Francisco” will feature an acoustic set by Big Light, an electric set by Van Ghost, and a third set “monster jam” with members of Van Ghost, Big Light and sundry luminaries that drop by. Surprises are expected, and it’s sure that talent like this will draw in some swell players from the region.
Also, while in the Bay Area, Van Ghost will perform at the offices of JamBase.com the afternoon of Friday, June 17, from 4:00pm – 5:00pm, streamling live for a full hour.
That same week, the band will be releasing a free download of the new song “Domino Effect” to offer a taste of their forthcoming new album due later this year.
