Umphrey’s McGee Share Footage Of ‘Bridgeless’ From ‘Hall Of Fame 2014’

Earlier this week Umphrey’s McGee announced details of Hall Of Fame: Class Of 2014, a soon-to-be-released compilation featuring highlights from last year presented as if it were a two-set show complete with an encore. Today, the band has unveiled video of the well-jammed “Bridgeless” > “Den” > “Bridgeless” segment from “Set I” of the new release.

The 30-minute “Bridgeless” sandwich took place at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston on November 1 just one day after the group’s mash-up heavy Halloween show at the same venue. “Bridgeless” > “Den” > “Bridgeless” shows off the various improvisational styles UM has been exploring in recent years including the bliss and the funk. For those unfamiliar with “Den,” it was debuted at UMBowl III in 2012 during the “Raw Stewage” set and is based on the “Jimmy Stewart” improv from “Bright Lights, Big City” on February 11, 2011.
