U2 Cancels Concerts After Paris Terrorist Attacks

In response to the horrific and tragic events that occurred Friday in Paris, U2 has canceled their iNNOCENCE +eXPERIENCE LIVE IN PARIS HBO special planned to air tonight at 9 p.m. ET. France is currently under a state of emergency following a series of terrorist attacks in Paris including at an Eagles Of Death Metal concert at Bataclan that left more than 100 people dead.
U2, HBO and Live Nation issued a statement indicating the concert will be rescheduled at later date. Additionally, U2 provided the following statement from Paris:
We watched in disbelief and shock at the unfolding events in Paris and our hearts go out to all the victims and their families across the city tonight.
We are devastated at the loss of life at the Eagles of Death Metal concert and our thoughts and prayers are with the band and their fans.
And we hope and pray that all of our fans in Paris are safe.
U2 has also canceled their planned performance in Paris at Accor Hotels Arena tomorrow, Sunday, November 15. Bono spoke about the situation with Irish radio RTÉ 2fm, listen to his discussion with host Dave Fanning below:
