Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue have headlined dozens of venues in their hometown of New Orleans over the years, but have yet to headline at one of Crescent City’s most historic venues -the Saenger Theatre. Shorty and the band will finally headline the Saenger, located near where the trombonist grew up, on April 25 for an event dubbed “Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue Treme Threauxdown.”

“The festival-season headlining performance at the Saenger Theatre is expected to feature collaborations with special guest artists,” according to a press release announcing the concert. Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue’s concert at the Saenger takes place during the first weekend of this year’s New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, so there’s no lack of incredible musicians Shorty and the band can invite for guest spots.

Tickets for the Treme Threauxdown go on sale this Friday, February 6 at 10 a.m. CT via the venue’s website and Ticketmaster.com.
