Treasure Island Music Festival Announces 2016 Lineup

The 10th annual Treasure Island Music Festival will take place on the scenic island in the middle of the San Francisco Bay on October 15 and 16. Today organizers of the event have detailed the initial lineup for this year’s festival. The 2016 installment of Treasure Island will be the last held on the island that gives the festival its name.

Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Ros have been tapped to headline Treasure Island ’16. Ice Cube, James Blake, Purity Ring, Zhu, Glass Animals and Mac DeMarco are also among the acts on the diverse lineup announced today. Ice Cube will perform with MC Ren and DJ Yella. Tickets for the festival go on sale this Thursday, June 16 at 10 a.m. PT via the event’s website.

The festival will relocate off the Island in 2017 with next year’s installment being held in a new location in the San Francisco Bay Area that has yet to be announced.
