Trampled by Turtles shared the new single “A Lifetime To Find.” The song was penned by Wilco frontman Jeff Tweedy and appears on TBT’s forthcoming Tweedy-produced studio album, Alpenglow.

The 11-track Alpenglow is due out via Thirty Tigers on October 28. Trampled by Turtles’ Dave Simonett wrote the other 10 songs featured on the follow-up to 2018’s Life Is Good On The Open Road.

Simonett and bandmates mandolinist Erik Berry, fiddler Ryan Young, banjoist Dave Carroll, bassist Tim Saxhaug and cello player Eamonn McLain recorded Alpenglow at Wilco’s Chicago studio, The Loft. Polaroids documenting the sessions are compiled in the “A Lifetime To Find” video.

“When TBT was in the studio, I had this song but I wasn’t sure it was going to be a Wilco song or not, but I knew with their instrumentation they would do a great job with ‘A Lifetime To Find.’ I’m glad it found a place on both of our records,” noted Tweedy regarding a song Wilco also recorded for their 2022 LP, Cruel Country. “It was a real honor for us to record one of Jeff’s songs. I love the story he tells and the way he tells it. A conversation with death – who hasn’t had one of those?” added Simonett.
