Three of the four members of Tool will soon embark on a short tour in which the trio of band members will host music clinics. A promotional video for the six-date instructional run features official audio of a new Tool song.
While frontman Maynard James Keenan is sitting out the tour, drummer Danny Carey, guitarist Adam Jones and bassist Justin Chancellor will host the Tool Music Clinics offering “intimate discussion[s] of the inner workings of the band’s music” as well as Q&As and meet-and-greets.
The long-awaited follow-up to Tool’s most recent studio album, 2006’s 10,000 Days, is reportedly in progress but currently, there’s no official word on when a new record will be issued. In 2015 the band began playing a new song “Descending,” and what appears to be an official live recording of part of the new original soundtracks the tour promo.
