One of rock’s most lauded concert films, Pink Floyd: Live at Pompeii, was recorded in 1971 at an ancient Roman theater in Pompeii, Italy. The band’s guitarist, David Gilmour, will bring his solo tour in support of 2015’s Rattle That Lock to the historic site tonight and tomorrow. Gilmour recently shared a video preview of the gigs:

On Sunday, the guitarist and his band which features Allman Brothers Band/Rolling Stones keyboardist Chuck Leavell played their first show in Italy at Rome’s Circo Massimo.
