On October 16, one of Tom Petty‘s final wishes will be granted when an expanded version of his 1994 studio album Wildflowers is released through Warner Records. Wildflowers & All The Rest contains a slew of previously unheard material including the song “Confusion Wheel,” which has been shared in advance of the set’s release.
“Confusion Wheel,” which Petty wrote back in 1994, is one of 10 songs that makes up the All The Rest portion of the forthcoming set. The deluxe edition of Wildflowers & All The Rest adds home recordings and demos as well as a live compilation to the original album and All The Rest, while a super deluxe edition also includes Finding Wildflowers, a collection of 16 alternate takes from the sessions that yielded Wildflowers. Petty spoke of revisiting Wildflowers with an expanded edition and tour in a series of interviews before his tragic death at age 66 in 2017.

The release of “Confusion Wheel” comes after the previously shared Wildflowers & All The Rest tracks “Wildflowers (Home Recording),” Tom’s 8-track “You Don’t Know How It Feels” demo and “There Goes Angela (Dream Away).”
