Today’s Livestreams, Friday, July 31: Amanda Shires, moe., ‘Mavis 80,’ Grateful Dead & More
The JamBase Livestreams Calendar has a plethora of options for those on couch tour today, Friday, July 31 including live and archival broadcasts.
Amanda Shires is back with I So Lounging: The Second Wave, which began last week after the “first wave” featured dozens of livestreams in the early days of the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic. Meanwhile, moe. goes live from a historic church-turned-recording studio for the first of two livestreamed performances that come in place of the band’s canceled Miracle Mile concerts at Vernon Downs.
The Grateful Dead will broadcast their September 16, 1978 performance in Egypt as well as footage shot by the band and crew during the trip. Additionally, the Mavis 80 concert film recorded on May 22, 2019 premieres tonight featuring guest of honor Mavis Staples as well as Brandi Carlile, Jason Isbell, Grace Potter and more.
Other live archival broadcasts come courtesy of Elton John and The String Cheese Incident. Virtual Festivals are also on the docket including day two of Lollapalooza's Lolla2020 and the start of Pickathon At Home.
There’s many other livestreams scheduled. The full JamBase Livestreams Calendar for today, July 31 can be found below:
