Earlier this week Phil Lesh revealed his touring days are likely over and it appears he’ll be joined by in semi-retirement by fellow rock royalty The Who according to a recent interview with Pete Townshend.

Townshend has told the Evening Standard, “For the 50th anniversary we’ll tour the world. It’ll be the last big one for us. There are still plenty of places we’ve not played. It would be good to go to eastern Europe and places that haven’t heard us play all the old hits.” A source close to the band tells the paper that Townshend and fellow original Who member Roger Daltrey plan to work on solo projects after their touring days are through. The Who will celebrate their 50th Anniversary in 2015. Earlier this summer The Who brought their latest tour –Quadrophenia And More -to a close.
