The Who To Perform On ‘The Tonight Show’

The Who just re-launched the North American leg of their The Who Hits 50! Tour on Saturday, and later this week the legendary rock band will appear as musical guests on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The trip to The Tonight Show will be the first time The Who has been a guest on a late night talk show in the U.S. since their 1967 The Smother Brothers Comedy Hour performance.

Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend will stop by 30 Rock to be on the Friday, March 4 episode of the Jimmy Fallon-hosted program. They’ll be in town one night prior for a show at Madison Square Garden in New York City with Joan Jett & The Blackhearts supporting. Tune into NBC Friday, March 4 at 11:35 p.m. ET/PT to watch The Who on The Tonight Show.

Last week Daltrey released a recording of Townshend’s hit “Let My Love Open The Door” to benefit their Teen Cancer America charity. Watch video of the cover below:
