The String Cheese Incident wrapped their annual three-night run at Red Rocks on Sunday. The “Nashville Incident” saw SCI welcoming Sierra Hull, Jerry Douglas and Sam Bush for extended sit-ins throughout the concert.
The String Cheese Incident — guitarist Billy Nershi, mandolinist/fiddler Michael Kang, bassist Keith Moseley, keyboardist Kyle Hollingsworth, drummer Michael Travis and percussionist Jason Hann — are celebrating their 30th anniversary in 2024. Naturally, Cheese went all out for their home state shows at Red Rocks as they celebrated the milestone.

Following the “New Orleans Incident” on Friday and Saturday’s “Colorado Incident,” SCI presented the run-closing “Nashville Incident” on Sunday. Additionally, Cheese teamed with Nova Sky Stories to bring the first-ever drone show to Red Rocks.
Sunday got underway with “Sweet Spot,” “Eye Know Why,” “Talkin’ About Tonight” and “Smile,” before SCI brought out mandolinist Sierra Hull, dobro player Jerry Douglas and mandolinist/fiddler Sam Bush beginning on Del McCoury’s “I Feel the Blues Moving In.”
The trio of bluegrass musicians would stay on for the rest of the set as SCI weaved in and out of “Big Mon” and Steve Miller Band’s “Take the Money and Run.” Following the mashup, the collab continued with “Can’t Stop Now,” “Something You Got Baby,” “I’m Still Here,” “Duke And Cookie” and “Reach.”
Set two kicked off with “Rivertrance” and saw the return of Bush, Hull and Douglas along with the drone show. Watch below:
The trio departed as Cheese worked through “Enjoy The Ride” and “Shine” before returning on “Poison” and a “Birdland”/“Wheel Hoss” sandwich followed by “Revival.” SCI went it alone to seal the second set with “Trip The Light Fantastic,” “Jellyfish” and “Beautiful.”
Douglas, Bush and Hull returned with Cheese for the encore of “Colorado Bluebird Sky.” Check out that performance below:
