Every year impresario Michael Dorf assembles an eclectic lineup to honor a musical legend or band at Carnegie Hall in New York City. The 2019 honoree will be the iconic singer-songwriter Van Morrison. Dorf has announced The Music Of Van Morrison, which will be held on March 21.

The initial lineup for the event will be revealed soon. Look for 20 musical acts to cover some of Morrison’s most-beloved songs and perhaps deep cuts. March’s concert will be Dorf’s 15th annual tribute concert held at Carnegie Hall, with 100 percent of the net proceeds given to music education organizations for underprivileged youth. Michael Dorf previously announced that over $1.5 million net has been raised by the series through early 2018. Past benefits honored the music of Aretha Franklin, Bill Withers, David Byrne, Paul Simon, Prince, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Elton John, R.E.M., Neil Young, The Rolling Stones and others.
