The Motet Covers Tame Impala’s ‘Breathe Deeper’
Hear The Motet on a version of ‘The Slow Rush’ cut “reminiscent of California G-Funk.”

The Motet released a cover of Tame Impala’s “Breathe Deeper.” The cover coincides with the Colorado-based funk and soul outfit kicking off their 2022 spring tour which includes the band’s return to Red Rocks.
“Breathe Deeper” appears on Tame Impala’s Grammy-nominated 2020 album, The Slow Rush. The Motet’s “slowed down” version of The Slow Rush cut “is reminiscent of California G-Funk while showcasing The Motet’s two keyboardists – the song is at once layered with Drew Sayers’ rich synths and highlighted by Joey Porter’s turn on vocoder,” as per press materials for the cover.
