The Motet and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong are teaming up to co-headline Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado on May 27. Cory Henry is aboard as support and The Motet will be joined by a number of special guests.
Colorado’s own The Motet will be augmented by Medeski Martin & Wood’s Billy Martin on percussion as well as former Turkuaz members vocalists Shira Elias and Sammi Garett and The Horn Section. Grab tickets for Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and The Motet’s Red Rocks show via AXS.com starting this Friday, February 11 at 10 a.m. MT.
“I’ve had the honor to play Red Rocks at least 10 times now in various capacities and I still get choked up at some point throughout the day,” The Motet guitarist Ryan Jalbert stated in a press release. “I’ll walk up to the top row after soundcheck and I’m inevitably moved to tears. It’s not just because of the beauty of the venue, which is of course stunning, it’s more so just being touched by the immense support of all of our fans that stick with us through thick and thin, ups and downs, lineup changes, global pandemics, whatever… and then we have our chance to celebrate together under the stars at this amazing place.”
Both Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and The Motet are keeping busy to start 2022. The latter is in the midst of the Keep On Don’t Stoppin’ Tour, while the former will support their forthcoming Perspective studio album with a spring tour.
