Pigeons Playing Ping Pong fly again with Perspective, a new studio album due out on April 8. The band also laid out plans for the Perspective Tour 2022, including new April dates focusing on the East Coast.

Perspective, which is available for pre-order now, marks the Baltimore-based jam quartet’s sixth studio album and first since Presto in 2020. “When touring shut down in 2020, we gained immense perspective,” explained PPPP frontman Greg Ormont. “The album title speaks to the perspective of the pandemic as well as our growth over the years. During this turbulent time, everyone in the world has been forced to look in the mirror and ask what’s truly important.

“If there’s anything we’ve all gained from this, it’s perspective, and a recurring theme from our band is to not waste time,” added Ormont. “Now more than ever, we recognize that you only get one life, so you might as well live it to the fullest and lift people up in the process.”

Pigeons Playing Ping Pong will follow their upcoming winter tour with a 12-date spring excursion. Up first is a two-night stand at Boston’s House Of Blues on April 1 and 2. TAUK opens on the 1st with Elephant Proof supporting on the 2nd. TAUK also kicks off the action at Terminal 5 in New York City on April 9.

The tour continues after a few weeks off at The National in Richmond on April 20 and Wilmington, North Carolina’s Greenfield Lake Amphitheater on April 21. From there Pigeons Playing Ping Pong will be joined by The Motet in Atlanta on April 22, for a two-night stand at Brooklyn Bowl Nashville on April 23 and 24, in Charlotte on April 27 and Knoxville on April 28. The band goes it alone in Charleston, South Carolina on April 29 before The Motet opens in Raleigh on April 30. PPPP headlines their Domefest event in May ahead of festival appearances at Summer Camp, Hog Farm Hangout, Bonnaroo, High Sierra and 4848 Festival.
