The Lumineers captured a live performance for Seattle-based independent radio station KEXP back in February. The show saw KEXP as well as the band’s Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites on the East Coast, with the performance taking place at Reel to Reel Haven in Brooklyn.

While The Lumineers are based in Colorado, the band spent their early days around the NYC area. Schultz and Fraites, who hail from New Jersey, treated the Reel to Reel audience to an intimate, stripped-down eight-song set which saw Schultz on guitar and Fraites switching between drums and piano. The Live on KEXP performance came four days before The Lumineers released their 2025 album, Automatic.

The Lumineers kicked off their KEXP play with Automatic opener “Same Old Song” followed by the title track. The duo also performed “You’re All I’ve Got” and “So Long” from their latest LP. Additionally, The Lumineers touched on their previous record, BRIGHTSIDE, with the title track and “WHERE WE ARE” along with the favorite, “Ophelia.”

Watch The Lumineers perform Live on KEXP and chat with host John Richards, who told a cool story about the history between the band and radio station:
