The Infamous Stringdusters recently hosted their 8th annual The Festy Experience in the Blue Ridge Bowl at Infinity Downs Farm in Arrington, Virginia. The quintet’s performance last Sunday featured an instrumental debut cover of a classic Phish song.
The Infamous Stringdusters opened up a sequence that began with Shawn Camp’s “Travelin Teardrop Blues” segueing into J.J. Cale’s “After Midnight” before a return to “Travelin Teardrop Blues.” The band then shifted into their “Fork In The Road” which transitioned into their first performance of “Stash” by Phish. The instrumental cover debut was trailed by a return to “Fork In The Road.”
Audience-shot footage of “Stash” > “Fork In The Road” was captured by Zachary Norris, watch here:
The Infamous Stringdusters recently detailed a five-track covers EP entitled Undercover Vol. 2 featuring their arrangements of songs originally performed by The Allman Brothers Band, My Morning Jacket, Marvin Gaye, The Cure and Daft Punk. Lumenhouse Recordings will issue the EP on October 27.
