The Barr Brothers detailed a series of North American tour dates to start 2019. Brad Barr and Andrew Barr will lead the band in full performances of their three studio albums over consecutive evenings in two Canadian cities as part of the tour.
Up first is a run of shows in Québec that includes a performance at Québec City’s Palais Montcalm on February 20. Next, comes a three-night stand at Toronto’s Mod Club Theatre in which the band will play The Barr Brothers on February 28, Sleeping Operator on March 1 and Queens Of The Breakers on March 2. The Barr Brothers repeat the feat in the same order at Théâtre Corona in Montreal from March 7 – 9. “Nostalgia, as a loose rule, is generally an impulse we try to avoid, or at least rely on sparingly,” stated the band. “But when the reality sets in that a decade’s worth of music has gone down on our watch, and to have seen it unfold with the help of our amazing family of musicians and the support of such a giving audience as yourselves, we feel it’s a good time to look back and acknowledge the path we’ve traveled.”
The Barr Brothers then head to the U.S for a series of shows in the Northeast that begins at murmrr in Brooklyn on March 21. From there, the group hits Philadelphia on March 22, Washington D.C. on March 23 and Cambridge on March 29. Tickets go on sale this Friday, October 26.
