Tedeschi Trucks Band continues their rollout of video from their upcoming live album, Layla Revisited (Live at LOCKN’), due out on July 13 via Fantasy Records. The latest clip is of the Jimmy Cox blues standard “Nobody Knows You When You’re Down And Out” featuring guitarists Trey Anastasio and Doyle Bramhall II.

TTB announced Layla Revisited (Live at LOCKN’) earlier this month. The record documents the band’s August 24, 2019 surprise performance of Derek & The Dominos’ iconic 1970 album Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs at the LOCKN’ Festival in Arrington, Virginia. Not only does Derek Trucks‘ name come from Derek & The Dominos — which featured both Duane Allman and Eric Clapton, but the original Layla was released on the day of Susan Tedeschi‘s birth. To herald Layla Revisited (Live at LOCKN’), Derek and Susan shared video of “Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad?” featuring Anastasio and Bramhall II, who sat in with TTB for the performance.

Of “Nobody Knows You When You’re Down & Out,’ a press release noted: “With masterful solos from Derek Trucks, invaluable TTB collaborator Doyle Bramhall II, and Trey Anastasio — not to mention a smoky, passionate vocal from Susan Tedeschi — the track is exemplary of the fiery chemistry and intoxicating musicianship on display on Layla Revisited (Live At LOCKN’).”
