Tedeschi Trucks Band took the stage in Fort Worth, Texas on Wednesday for the second show of their spring tour. Molly Tuttle opened the evening at the Will Rogers Auditorium before she sat-in with the 12-piece ensemble on a stirring cover of “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right” later in the night.

The tour began on Tuesday night in Dallas, where Tuttle also kicked off the action backed by her full band. Tedeschi Trucks Band treated fans in Fort Worth to a 17-song main set featuring performances of five tracks from their new album Future Soul: “What In The World,” “Under The Knife,” “I Got You,” “Be Kind” and “Hero.”

Molly Tuttle came out halfway through the lengthy set with her acoustic guitar in hand. Susan Tedeschi and Tuttle split vocal duties on “Don’t Think Twice, It’s All Right,” which has been a staple of TTB live performances dating back to 2014. Tedeschi beamed as Tuttle tore through a guitar solo on the track from Dylan’s sophomore studio album, The Freewheelin’ Bob Dylan.

Elsewhere, Tedeschi Trucks Band threw in such favorites as “Don’t Let Me Slide,” “Let Me Get By” and “Midnight In Harlem” within the frame. A take on The Allman Brothers Band’s “Stand Back” was played early in the set, with a pairing of Derek And The Dominos’ “Bell Bottom Blues” and “Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad?” following ahead of Tuttle’s appearance. TTB also worked through blues standards “Little By Little” and “How Blue Can You Get?” before closing the frame with their rendition of Dr. John’s “I Walk On Guilded Splinters.”

Mark Rivers approached the mic midstage to kick off the encore, joining Susan Tedeschi for a shared turn on James Taylor’s “Fire And Rain.” Tedeschi Trucks Band then lit into an “I Want More” that gave way to “Beck’s Bolero” to seal the show.
