Tedeschi Trucks Band Opens 2019 Beacon Theatre Residency

Tedeschi Trucks Band kicked off their six-night residency at the Beacon Theatre in New York on Friday night. TTB offered up covers from Elton John, The Allman Brothers Band, Derek And The Dominos and more.
“Signs, High Times” kicked off the first set that also included Elton John’s “Border Song” and Derek & The Dominos’ “Keep On Growing.” The band closed out the first frame with “Shame.” The second set got underway with a trio of “Don’t” songs: “Don’t Let Me Slide,” The Allman Brothers Band’s “Don’t Keep Me Wonderin’” and “Don’t Drift Away.” The second set also contained covers of Sleepy Joe Estes’ “Leavin’ Trunk” and Freddie King’s “Have You Ever Loved A Woman.” The band closed out the second set with “Bound For Glory.”
TTB reemerged for an encore of Joe Tex’s “Show Me.” Check out video of that song and more captured by Sean Roche below:
