The fourth annual Suwannee Hulaween took place over Halloween weekend, October 28 – 30, at the Spirit Of The Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida. Today, festival organizers Silver Wrapper and Purple Hat Productions have shared the official aftermovie for this year’s event. At the end of the video a note is displayed with dates for next year’s festival, October 27 – 29.
Hulaween ’16 attendees were served a heaping helping of The String Cheese Incident over the course of the event, but that was just the beginning. Rock gods My Morning Jacket played the fest as did Grammy nominated British dance act Disclosure (DJ Set), hip-hop poet Logic, Chicago sextet Umphrey’s McGee, livetronica pioneers STS9, Colorado’s live funk/electronic duo Big Gigantic featuring The Motet and Southern California reggae outfit Rebelution. Other acts that impressed were The Claypool Lennon Delirium, Gramatik, Greensky Bluegrass, Bob Moses, Lettuce and Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals.
Yet the beauty of Hulaween goes well beyond the music. Plenty of art is brought in to make the magical Music Park even more magical. There’s also the community that has formed and developed around Hulaween since it first moved to Florida. With that in mind, watch the official Hulaween ’16 aftermovie prepped by Human Being Media and featuring RÜFÜS DU SOL’s “Say A Prayer For Me” as the soundtrack.
