While all has seemingly been quiet on the Tedeschi Trucks Band front since the pandemic began, the band has been working behind the scenes. Frontwoman Susan Tedeschi discussed upcoming livestreams and new music from the TTB as part of a recent interview with Relix.

Tedeschi told Relix’s Dean Budnick she will soon assemble with her husband and TTB co-founder, Derek Trucks as well as members of the group for a series of pay-per-view livestreams. “We’re going to do a bunch of different sets with different configurations of the band,” Susan said. “We’ll do it from our farm, which is about an hour south of Atlanta and a lot closer to the core of the band.”

Susan revealed that she and Derek have been paying their band and crew, yet can’t commit to doing so past March. Hence, proceeds from the livestreams will go towards their team as well as “various charities that support local artists and aid others in need.”

Tedeschi also spoke about sessions held last year with members of the TTB at her family’s farm that yielded new music:

We had Falcon [Tyler Greenwell] on drums and Brandon Boone on bass. Then, Gabe [Dixon] came down from Nashville and Mike [Mattison] joined us because he lives an hour from the farm. They all came for about a week and we brought about 20 songs to the table and started to develop them. After that, we went home and worked on more stuff, and returned to the farm about a month later. We’re up to about 28 songs, and I’d say about 12-15 of those songs are in a really good place.

Stay tuned for announcements from the TTB regarding livestreams and new music. Head to Relix for more from Susan about how the band has kept in contact, early memorable moments and additional topics.
