Sunday Cinema | Crosby Stills Nash And Young In London 1974

Next weekend Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young will headline both nights of the Bridge School Benefit Concerts at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, CA. CSNY has been out of action since 2006, so we look forward to the return of the project after seven years. For today’s Sunday Cinema selection we present over three hours of pro-shot footage from the band’s oft-derided 1974 reunion tour.

CSNY regrouped for the 1974 tour “for the cash” as Stills told Cameron Crowe and the run was plagued by infighting. However, as you can see in the video below, the performances themselves were at times impressive. On September 14, 1974 headlined a show at the massive Wembley Stadium in London that also featured Joni Mitchell, The Band, and Jesse Colin Young. The gig was the last on the group’s tour and as with other shows on the run sees the band backed by bassist Tim Drummond, drummer Ross Kunkel and percussionist Joe Lala. Included in the 32-song set are many of CSNY’s most popular tunes as well as a number of Young solo tracks. Check it out:
