Low Cut Connie (Adam Weiner) took to independent Minnesota radio station The Current to perform the Prince classic “Little Red Corvette.” The performance comes in tribute to the iconic musician, who passed away 10 years ago on April 21, 2016.
Weiner delivered his solo piano performance of “Little Red Corvette” live from The Current’s studios in Prince’s hometown of Minneapolis.
“It’s 10 years since his passing, and Prince’s music means more now than ever,” Weiner stated. “He had a vision of diversity, radical love and openness in his art that is more crucial in today’s America than ever. He elevated women, he elevated love, he elevated our consciousness. ‘Little Red Corvette’ is the ultimate Saturday nite song, and I will never get tired of it. It was an honor to perform it in Prince’s hometown at the Current, a radio station he loved and supported.”
