Sturgill Simpson Sets 1st Red Rocks Concerts In 8 Years For September 2025

Sturgill Simpson is returning to Red Rocks for the first time in eight years. Johnny Blue Skies & the Dark Clouds will come to the famed Morrison, Colorado venue September 16 & 17.
Sturgill Simpson last hit Red Rocks on September 25, 2017. Now performing under his moniker Johnny Blue Skies, Sturgill’s 2025 two-night stand at the iconic Colorado amphitheatre is billed as “Red Rocks Au Revoir” and will wrap up Simpson’s 2025 itinerary.
Fans can sign up for a chance to purchase tickets via Fair AXS now through Sunday, June 29 at 10 p.m. MT.

There’s a few more chances to catch Sturgill Simpson this year. Ahead of the “Red Rocks Au Revoir,” Sturgill Simpson is set to play the Bourbon & Beyond Festival. He will also open for Dead & Company during the Grateful Dead’s 60th anniversary celebration in Golden Gate Park in August. On July 19, Johnny Blue Skies comes to the FairWell Festival in Redmond, Oregon.
