Street Plant Unveils More Jerry Garcia-Inspired Skateboards

Earlier this month, skateboard company Street Plant added to a line of Jerry Garcia-inspired decks approved by the Grateful Dead guitarist’s estate. The company is run by famed skateboarder and Garcia fan Mike Vallely. While previous Garcia decks used imagery from Jerry’s iconic Wolf guitar, the new skateboards feature designs from Tiger. Both guitars were originally built by Doug Irwin.

“My Reverence for Jerry Garcia is without end. I find Wholeness, Harmony, Freedom, and Radiance in His Music, Filling me with Optimism, Love, and Hope. Our daily soundtrack here in Garageland is Infused with Garcia’s Songs, Inspiring the Best in us, and Encouraging us to continue to Move in the Direction of our Dreams,” Vallely wrote back in March when the first Garcia decks were put up for sale.
