Watch NBA Star Steph Curry Rock Out Onstage With Paramore

After a few days off, Paramore’s current tour shifted from the Midwest to the West Coast, with a show at San Francisco’s Chase Center on Monday night. Local NBA star Steph Curry whose Golden State Warriors play their home games at Chase Center, was back at the arena last night to help Paramore sing “Misery Business.”

Throughout the tour, Paramore lead singer Hayley Williams has regularly recruited a person from the audience to come onstage and help sing “Misery Business.” Williams addressed the Chase Center crowd last night while playing the song off their 2007 album Riot!, asking first how many were attending their first Paramore show.

“If you’ve never been then you need to know what’s going on and it’s very simple – very simple,” Williams said. “In about 60 seconds, somebody from out there is going to come up here on this stage and help us finish this song, all right. Now tonight, what I mean when I say ‘somebody from out there,’ well, it might be somebody that you know. I’m not sure. I don’t know, let me see. San Francisco, will you please welcome #30 Steph Curry to the stage!”

At that point, Curry came out and walked across the stage showing off the Paramore hoodie he was wearing. A true fan, Paramore performed at Curry’s 30th birthday party in 2018.

“You know, us and Steph, we go back a few years, and tonight is our reunion,” Williams continued. “Tonight we’re going to sing something together. And listen, from the moment Steph hits the mic it’s no longer a Paramore show, it’s a Steph Curry show. Are you going to show him how you turn up at a Steph Curry show?”
