Phil Lesh & Friends, Dark Star Orchestra & More Headed To Grateful Dead-Centric Fest Skull & Roses 2023
The fifth installment of the annual event returns to California’s Ventura County Fairgrounds in April.

Phil Lesh & Friends and Dark Star Orchestra are among the acts on the lineup of the 2023 Skull & Roses music festival in California. Skull & Roses V will return to California’s Ventura County Fairgrounds on April 19 – 23, 2023.
The expanded five-day festival will feature daily themes – Bicycle Day, 4:20, Chinese New Year, New Year’s Eve and Mardi Gras. Phil & Friends will play two headlining sets over two days. Along with the long-running Grateful Dead tribute DSO, the Skull & Roses V lineup also features Dead & Company bassist Oteil Burbridge‘s all-star collective Oteil & Friends, jamgrass veterans Leftover Salmon and former Jerry Garcia Band member Melvin Seals keeping the flame lit with .
Rounding out the Skull & Roses 2023 lineup is Grateful Shred, Sages & Spirits, Boombox feat. Backbeat Brass, Circles Around The Sun, Jerry’s Middle Finger, Stu Allen & Mars Hotel, Big Steve & The Assbites, Cubensis, Electric Waste Band with Bill Walton, Moonalice, Dogs In A Pile, Forgotten Space, The Warlocks Of Tokyo, Hyryder, Brown Eyed Women, Xtra Ticket, David Gans, China Cats, Grateful Brass, Billy Iuso with Big Chief Juan Pardo, The Latin Dead, Wall Of Sound, Garcia Birthday Band, Shaky Feelin’, Wahl Bangers, Beam Brothers and the festival’s house band The Alligators.
