Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival Finalizes Spring 2019 Lineup


The Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival has announced the lineup for its spring 2019 event, which is scheduled for May 2 – 5 in Pittsboro, North Carolina. Since 2003, the long-running festival has curated two events per year: one in the spring and one in the fall. For its upcoming spring edition hosted by Donna The Buffalo, the festival will host 58 distinct acts, including headliner Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real.

The multi-day festival offers a diverse selection of music acts, representing genres including, but not limited to, roots, reggae, bluegrass, Americana and jazz. This year, the spring event will feature sets from Turkuaz, Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad, Zach Deputy, Preston Frank, Driftwood, Kat Wright, Sophistafunk, Megan Jean and the KFB, Travers Brothership, Otto Von Schirach, Diali Cissokho & Kaira Ba, Young Bull and others.

Tickets for Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival’s spring 2019 edition are currently on sale via the festival’s website. Early-bird rates end on February 28, with day passes going on sale on March 1. The event’s sister festival in the fall is scheduled for October 3 to 6.
