Santana Shares New Single & Announces Classic Lineup Live DVD/TV Special Filming

On April 15 Santana will release a new album Santana IV featuring the classic band lineup reunited after 45 years. Today, the group has shared another single from the record and revealed details of an upcoming DVD/TV special filming in Las Vegas.

Recording together for the first time since 1971, Carlos Santana (guitar), Gregg Rolie (keyboards, lead vocals), Neal Schon (guitar, vocals), Michael Carabello (percussion) and Michael Shrieve (drums) will offer 16 new tracks, including “Blues Magic” the latest single released today. The album also includes contributions from Karl Perazzo (percussion) and Benny Rietveld (bass) and renowned vocalist Ronald Isley. Give a listen to “Blues Magic” on Spotify.

Santana also announced the classic lineup will play live together for the first time since 1973 at a special performance at the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay Resort And Casino in Las Vegas on March 21 which will be filmed for a DVD and television release. So far, the Vegas concert is the lone confirmed appearance of the Santana/Rolie/Schon/Carabello/Shrieve lineup. Tickets to the concert go on sale tomorrow, Saturday, March 5 at 10 a.m.
