Sam Altman Joins The Disco Biscuits For Set At Camp Bisco 2019

The Disco Biscuits closed out Camp Bisco 2019 at The Pavilion At Montage Mountain in Scranton, Pennsylvania on Saturday night with three sets that included a sit-in from former drummer Sam Altman for the entire first set. The band also paid tribute to the 50th anniversary of the moon landing with a moon/space themed second set.
The Disco Biscuits and Altman kicked off the first set that skewed heavy on older material from Altman’s era by opening with “Floes,” followed by the Altman composed “Onamae Wa.” Then, “M.E.M.P.H.I.S.” led into Blondie’s “Rapture,” just the second time played, ahead of the set closer “Magellan.”
The moon-themed second set got underway with a “The Very Moon” sandwich that contained “The Moon,” just the fourth time played (theme from the Moon Level on the NES Mario Paint Duck Tails game) and “Lunar Pursuit.” The band continued on with “Astronaut” and “Spacebirdmatingcall” before returning to “Astronaut.” The second set came to a close with “Wet,” last played on March 9, 2018.
The Biscuits opened up the third frame with “Mullberry’s Dream” followed by “Save The Robots.” The band would close out the set with a “Spraypaint” sandwich that included “That Sample Has a Name” (third time played), “Catalyst” and “Tricycle” before heading back to “Spraypaint” to close out the set. The Disco Biscuits would reemerge for the only encore of the weekend with “Home Again.”
