Ryan Adams Says He’s Done Covering Albums

Last year singer-songwriter Ryan Adams released his song-for-song interpretation of Taylor Swift’s album 1989. As a result of the negative backlash Adams received following the release of the cover album, it appears there will be no more similarly created LPs from the prolific musician.

As Pitchfork notes, Adams addressed a suggestion he cover Oasis’ record Be Here Now with a tweet indicating he was done remaking other artists’ albums. Here’s the tweeted response:

In a subsequent tweet, Adams revealed his recorded version of The Strokes’ LP Is This It which was made “on a 4 track for a laugh” was accidentally thrown out and “will never be released.”
