Rusted Root: 20th Anniversary Tour Dates, New Album

RUSTED ROOT CELEBRATE 20TH ANNIVERSARY ON SPRING TOUR
NEW CD FORTUNATE FREAKS UNITE OUT THIS SUMMER

The quintessential live band, Pittsburgh’s Rusted Root celebrates their 20th anniversary this year with a slew of tour dates and a new album.

The tour starts March 16 in Pittsburgh and runs through Chicago, St. Louis, Seattle, Phoenix, Philadelphia, New York, Orlando and more, before wrapping up on June 2 in Atlanta. The Summer leg starts June 21 in Rochester, NY.

The band is currently in the studio recording their new album, tentatively titled Fortunate Freaks, after a song on the upcoming release. The record is due out for a summer 2012.

“Our last record was to let people know that we were back and were making music again,” leader Michael Glabicki said. “With this new one, we’re not only back, we’re back to our old selves.”

To help support the making of this new album, Rusted Root created the “Fortunate Freaks Unite! We are Rusted Root Campaign.” This fan-funding campaign provided the fans the opportunity to contribute to the making of the album, while receiving some once in a lifetime opportunities.
