Rush Planning 2015 Tour To Start In Spring

On November 11, Rush will release a massive box set to celebrate the band’s 40th anniversary. If all goes according to plan, the box set will be the prelude to a 2015 Rush tour as per recent comments guitarist Alex Lifeson made to Artisan News at Saint Jude’s Robby Krieger Celebrity Golf Tournament.

“We’re talking about putting a tour together for next spring. So [‘R40’] is kind of like the prelude to it,” Lifeson revealed to Artisan News. “I can’t believe that it’s been 40 years already. But I hope for another 40,” the guitarist went on to add.

You may recall that this wasn’t the first time Lifeson discussed the possibility of a 2015 Rush tour. Back in March, the guitarist mentioned Rush was aiming for a 2015 tour and even previewed what may be in store, “We want to try and play different material this time. I’ve always wanted to do some rarer Rush material, and this should be a good opportunity to do that. I also think it’s going to be a long tour. We just need to stay healthy until then.”
