boygenius Reunites At Phoebe Bridgers’ Barclays Center Concert

boygenius reunited on Thursday night at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, where Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus joined bandmate Phoebe Bridgers during the first of her three The Lost Tour shows at the venue. The trio performed “Not Strong Enough” and “Cool About It.”

The last official boygenius concert performance was held in February 2024. “Not Strong Enough” won the Grammys for Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance that month, and Thursday’s rendition was its first performance since those wins. Both boygenius selections were debuts on Bridgers’ The Lost Tour 2026.

The trio released its lone full-length album, the record, in 2023. It won the Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album.

Ahead of the boygenius segment, Bridgers performed “On Video,” her end title song for the A24 film PRIMETIME, which opens in theaters today alongside its A24 Music soundtrack. Directed by Lance Oppenheim, the film marks Bridgers’ acting debut. “On Video” was released today as part of the film’s soundtrack.

The setlist drew largely from Bridgers’ latest album, Lost Weekend, released August 14, alongside songs from Punisher and Stranger in the Alps. A mid-show segment on a B stage included “Lost Weekend,” “Funeral,” “Graceland Too,” “Haunted,” “Still Standing” and “As Above.”

Bridgers closed the main set with “Kyoto” and “I Know the End,” then returned for an encore of “Lost Weekend (Reprise),” “Scott Street” and left the stage as “Never Going Back!” ended the concert. Alex G played an opening set at the show’s onset.

Phones, video recording and other devices are prohibited throughout The Lost Tour 2026, with Yondr pouches used to enforce the policy. Attendees caught breaking the rule face being escorted out of the venue.

Earlier in the day, Baker and Dacus took part in a protest outside United Nations headquarters in New York City as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the UN General Assembly.

The boygenius reunion was perhaps hinted at by the appearance of the “Three Cups” tarot card that was part of last night’s exclusive Brooklyn set. A new collection of three tarot cards will be available at Bridgers’ two subsequent Barclays Center concerts.
