Round Records will reissue Jerry Garcia’s fourth and final solo album Run For The Roses, for Record Store Day 2018. The limited edition, individually numbered 180-gram orange and black marbled vinyl edition will be made available on April 21 exclusively at participating Record Store Day 2018 independent retailers nationwide.
Garcia and bassist John Kahn co-produced the original 1982 release of Run For The Roses with engineers Ron Malo, Betty Cantor-Jackson and Bob Matthews. Garcia and Kahn held sessions with keyboardists Merl Saunders, Jimmy Warren, Michael O’Martian and Melvin Seals, drummer Ron Tutt, horn player Roger Neuman and vocalists Liz Stires and Julie Stafford at the Grateful Dead’s Club Front studio and Devonshire Studios in Los Angeles.
Fred Kevorkian remastered the RSD Run For The Roses reissue, which is limited to 5,000 copies. Follow this link for more information on participating stores.
